YOU CAN GET PUBLISHED

Writing a good book is like panning for gold:  you spend a lot of time in the current of your own thoughts, sifting through rubble for the gleam of pay dirt.  I can open your eyes to the flaws that weigh your story down and keep it from shining brighter than the competition.

With my help, you can strengthen every aspect of your story and take your writing to the next level.  My content editing will save you months of hair-pulling frustration, and help you shape and polish your manuscript until it dazzles the reader.

As a professional writer myself, I know that when we immerse ourselves in writing we become blind to our mistakes because we have to read what we’ve written so many times.

If you’re serious about getting published, you owe it to yourself to let a professional editor assess your work with a fresh pair of eyes, so you can be sure your manuscript presents the clear, powerful trajectory of the story you want to convey.

What My Service Delivers:

I specialize in content editing: writing in-depth, page-specific critiques of literary fiction, genre fiction, and creative non-fiction. Whether you have a work in progress or a completed rough draft, my thorough critique and market assessment of your manuscript will focus on the strengths and weaknesses of your writing project. This analysis will help you see your writing the way it will be seen by the buyers and sellers in the business, and point the way toward successful revision.

For novelists, the editing will address issues with plot, character development, setting, continuity, pace, suspense, structure and style.

For non-fiction projects, the editing covers content, structure, pacing, clarity, and level of interest for the reader.

All critiques will give you an assessment of the marketability of your project, based on the same guidelines used by the publishers I’ve worked for, and show you how to create a more saleable manuscript.

My editing will help you separate the gold from the gravel in your writing, and give you simple solutions to smooth out the rough edges of your story.  My goal is to preserve your voice, your talent, and your intentions, while refining your manuscript for the marketplace.

Above all, I want to encourage your own energy and enthusiasm for your writing and your commitment to your project.
